Clip is a clip board. The pen attachment is good it seems to hold on tight the pen ink is good and the length of the chain is great.

Anchor Pen
Love this little gadget that includes a pen. Needed a stay in place pen for associates to sign in on check sheets. So glad I happen to stumble on to it at Staples. Love it!

On the mark
Instrument is ideal however I know it is available in pen only which is what I wanted. When I picked it up the clerk told me pen only is only available online. I don't need these very often but I wish that you would carry them in stock or offer a pen refill that would work with the pen case.

Works as Advertised
Since it was installed we've cut down on the number of stray pens. The pen writes in clear traces with no skipping. We'll see how the ball chain holds up but so far so good!

They also sell replacement pens that connect to the chain but someone had pulled my chain off the clipboard!

Perfect for my use
I needed a slim refillable pen that could be covered in polymer clay and baked. I only had to remove the chain and unscrew the end. This was perfect. (My young nephew wanted a feather Harry Potter type pen. Using an ink well was out of the question for someone so young)
