I'll admit that I wasn't too sure about trying the remanufactured version but it's performing well and I'm glad that this option is available.

The ink cartridge for my older printer is no longer available. I was skeptical of remanufactured cartridges. Other than needing ink the printer was working fine so I decided to try Staples remanufactured ink cartridge. I installed the cartridge. The printer recognized the cartridge and is now giving great copies again.

hp 97 remanufactured ink cartridge
The price was right but. I've had problems with the Staples’ remanufactured HP96 black cartridges failing within a months’ time. Have gone through 2 of them now. Hopefully the HP97 color cartridge will be better. I can say Staples has a very good guarantee program replacing my failed HP96 cartridges without questions.

Buy the Name Brand
I tried this in a Deskjet 6940 along with the Staples 96 black cartridge. They didn't work correctly. The ink was very light and the colors were off. I thought there was something wrong with the printer until I replaced these with the HP brand and the printer is back to working like it should.

It Doesn't Work
I bought a pack of the Black and Color inks and I cannot get the color one to work; the printer thinks it's empty. The black cartridge works fine the color cartridge does not. In the past I had a remanufactured black ink cartridge that would not work either but it was too late to ask for a replacement. I will not be buying remanufactured ink cartridges again.
