These do NOT have a sewn binding!
I've purchased this in the past with a sewn binding in center and they work great. I've also bought in the past with glued binding and they are terrible (pages fall out quickly). The description on this item said sewn binding, so I bought, but that is NOT what I received. So I will be returning.

Terrible paper; glued, not stitched
The quality of paper in these little notebooks is atrocious. And, though they are designed to look like miniature composition notebooks, they are glue-bound and not stitched. They are way overpriced for the quality you get. Oh, but they are cute; I'll give them that. But "cute" only gets you so far. Don't buy these garbage notebooks.

short bound lined notebooks.
I bought this package of 2 short, lined bound notebooks. I really wanted spiral bound. In another store I found spiral bound at the top which is what I really needed and wanted.
Now, the Staples package is open and I can't return the package, so I'm stuck with a $ 1.99 loss.

Handy for quick notes
These are handy unassuming little note books for organizing quick notes, phone numbers, shopping reminders, tv recommendations etc. Fits in my pocket, pretty strong, better than loose paper.

Handy, useful, great feature
Just the right size to fit anywhere and use when you need to write a quick note to someone or make a note to yourself, jot info, etc. The pages tear out neatly (!) which is the best part, so you keep the notes you want neatly bound, and toss other pages or give notes to someone else. Could have more choice of colors, but definitely recommend.

Standard pocket notebook. Only flaw albeit cand be a big one, the pages re not that gre intact and can come off.

The specs list these notebooks as sewn binding. They are not sewn, they are glued so the pages fall out easily.
