This seems to work well on low pile carpet. The salesman told me to keep the tag on the mat, as I can return it if it cracks. That's nice to know. Hard to believe that this has a lifetime warranty, but I'll see (if it does crack at some point). A good purchase so far.

Hard to move chair
I’m a lightweight guy (130 lbs) and I have a very good quality executive desk chair. The chair came with wheels of both the in-line skate type and double wheel type.
The chair wheels created divots in the mat that I had to “circle” out of, making moving the chair a real problem.

GREAT office floor mat!!
This is a great floor mat and they’re sturdy, I’m on my second one and this one’s predecessor lasted almost 10 years!

Nice size, but too thin.
This mat covered the area I needed, a desk on short-pile home carpet. However, when my 5-roller Staples desk chair was placed on it, it immediately dented (I weigh 160 lb). Even the chair alone dented the mat. The mat did not recover overnight with no weight on it. I had to place it in the sun on the deck to get the dents out. Didn’t work out
This would be better on a hardwood floor or perhaps no pile industrial like carpet. Chair wheels make a divot and it’s hard to roll.

So fat I have concerns it wont hold up as well as my prior mat on low pile carpet.
Indentations are noticeable while sitting in the chair that remain for a few hours before levelling. Perhaps not as rigid as my prior mat and may lead to cracks- will know over time.
Also not thrilled there were hand handles molded into edges that they hung the product on the storage ...

The carpet chair mat protects my carpet
Installation is just laying it on the carpet. Plain and simple. I liked that compared to other offerings, it is flat when purchased at the store and there is no need to unroll it like other competitive offerings. The thickness of the chair mat protector will preserve the carpet for years to come.
