Won't break your bank
I've tried using other "clean" dishwasher detergent that left residue on my dishes and my dishwasher but seventh generation never does. What i love about the powder is that it's way cheaper, doesn't have any plastic, and lasts longer. This is my new go to from the tabs!

Must have
These work really well compared to other natural dishwasher pods. They don’t leave a residue or a smell on the dishes. They seem to clean really well on tough food. Like that the packaging is recyclable and the pods are in a food grade seal that isn’t harmful. I will never go back to pods that are not natural.

Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Powder
I’ve been using the Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Powder (Free & Clear), and overall, I’m very satisfied. It does a solid job cleaning dishes — even tough, stuck-on food comes off without much trouble. I really appreciate that it has 0% fragrances, especially since I try to avoid unnecessary chemicals in household products. The fact that it’s a USDA Certified ...

Used to be available in 75 ounce and now you can only buy 45 ounce. Retailers selling it for even more than the 75 ounce used to cost. Rinse aid Required if you have hard water.

Wow - greenwashing AND liars, great
I love how they kept trying to gaslight reviewers into thinking it's the same formula. Then someone posted a photo of both old and new boxes. Wow. I guess they didn't think anyone would do that? I am livid at this company for taking away the nicely working 75 oz box of powder. I won't say anything else, other reviewers have already covered it.

Best Detergent Ever
This stuff is amazing. And you can recycle all of the packaging! It also doesn't discolor aluminum pans!

Simply Awesome!
Unbelievably great. Cleans effectively even for caked on stuff and doesn't leave streaks. Free & Clear leaves no scent whatsoever. Bottom line: best detergent ever.

Doesn't Work!
Bought recently and very disappointed in this detergent. Leaves glasses with a cloudy film on them, does not get all the food off. Will be switching back to old detergent.

The new version stinks
The latest version of the Seventh Generation free and clear dishwasher powder has a strong chemical smell to it. I was very happy with the older version.

Wonderful product!
I initially bought it due to the packaging in that it's cardboard, not plastic. I love Seventh Generation and this dishwasher detergent powder works perfectly like their other products. It cleans everything well and doesn't leave any residue on any of the glasses and dishes.

New Formula Performs Worse
You may have seen a number of reviews indicating that the new formulation is worse than before.

The old formulation, which has "Ppg-10-laureth-7", compared to the new formulation, which uses "C12-16 alcohols ethoxylated propoxylated" instead, performed reasonably well. I was often times satisfied with the cleaning performance from only 1 tablespoon (app...

Response from Staples :
Thank you for asking about our Free and Clear Dishwasher Detergent Powder. We apologize for any confusion, the formulation of this product hasn't changed. The 45oz powder artwork was changed with a launch date of January 2023 and the 75oz powder artwork was changed for July 2022. Again, there was no change to the formulation or product at all. We hope this helps!

Nicely Unscented Dishwasher Detergent
We purchase the unscented dishwasher powder in a medium size box from local independent grocery store in CT. Had to move to powder with our new Fisher-Paykel dishwasher. This detergent works well with our F-P dishdrawer dishwasher. Only thing I wish we could buy is the free flowing powder in a container that pours more easily than the box with the metal tab.

I'm done here
Discontinued?! Well, I'm off to find something else, hope y'all go under. Too bad that Unilever wasn't making "enough" money (Unilever's annual gross profit for 2023 was $74.141B, a 17.14% increase from 2022, by the way), but when the lords tell the monkey to dance, everything else goes out the window.

Works well, lasts 2-3 months
Used several times. Love that it is unscented. The 45 oz box lasts about nearly 3 months in our household of two. Cleans dishes well without any residue. I do also use the Seventh Generation rinse aid and no spots on glass. I think it's a much better value than packets/pods. Also comes in a box, no plastic. Please don't phase this out.

Does not fully dissolve
Switched to this from trader joes powder and not satisfied, I have water that is both hot and soft and yet like others have said the powder never fully dissolves and always left with messy residue on everything. Then have to manually scrape out half dissolved powder and run rinse cycle to clean everything
