Ye Olde Printer Ribbon
This is a very old dot matrix printer and it was good to know that there is some one out there that still carries the ribbons for it. Yay!

DataProducts Black Ribbon
You in-store Employees need to be further trained on ALL products that can be purchased via Staples! Not all of us wish to bear the expense of a ink-jet printer JUST to print text. My Panasonic KX-P1124 printer does a GREAT job of printing text. When I need color I use my color lazor printer (the cartridges in it DON'T dry up -- they're already powder).

R6405 Nylon Printer Ribbon
So far, the ribbon we are using is holding up. The shelf life of ribbons of this kind seems short and we've had some bad experiences in the past with other brands. This one, however, seems reasonably dark and clear. We haven't had it long enough to make any judgment beyond that.

Two weeks after purchase, I opened and installed the new ribbon and started running payroll. The ribbon skipped so badly that I had to throw out a stack of uncashable checks with stubs that had skips of an inch or more. I couldn't use the reports either, because of the skips.
