Defective
I think there is a bad batch of these batteries. The first one split open which was very odd after a month of use. Bought another and it was DOA. They were marked made in China with expiration 2018. Bought a third exp. 2015 and it was fine.

But, be aware that you are getting the size you need. I was looking for 21/23 size and somehow ended up getting a N size battery (very close size but 1.5 volt). Hard to Find But Easy to Get
These batteries are for a 44-year-old Sears Craftsmen garage door opener and are usually difficult to find. Google told me that Staples has them, and I picked them up within 48 hours of ordering them. Great experience - thanks, Staples!

The battery is great but the box it was shipped in was HUGE.
Battery works fine as intended. The box Staples shipped it in is ridiculously large and is the second time I've received this battery that this has happened. The box dimensions for this tiny battery were 14" x 11" x 7". Overkill is an understatement!
