Poor Quality tape dispenser
the tape refills are great but the dispensers for these refills, not so great. They break very easily and often have received them malfunctioning still brand new. Not good quality at all.

Don't use this on shipping boxes
"Sure Start" is not as thick as the older 3M packaging tape. I used it on all sides of a 20 pound box of books in the usual way (no problems with taping like this in the past). The recipient just wrote to say the box arrived burst open with some other junk in it (not the books), with the statement, "next time use a LOT more tape." So don't rely on this !

Smooth and Simple to Use
3M sent a sample of this product to me to try.This tape works very well! It comes off the roll smoothly without folding over on itself or wrinkling. The plastic tabs below the blade prevent the end of the tape from sticking back to the roll - no searching for the end of the tape! The blade cuts evenly and easily so the end of the tape stays even. Great product!

Strong shipping tape
This tape is great for shipping and keeping your shipping boxes strong and safe. I love the dispenser that it comes with as it's very sturdy and easy to use. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Very sturdy!
I am often shipping boxes and of all the packaging tapes this is so far the best one! It really sticks and keeps boxes closed, all my boxes were received with no issues.

Great for shipping packages!
3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I online shop often and have a lot of returns (thank you Amazon Prime!). This tape is perfect to send back packages. It does not splinter/tear and it is easy to start. I would definitely buy this product again!

Easy to use
I had a few boxes I was looking to reinforce with tape and this stuff filled the bill. The tear off was so crisp and the next segment was ready to go.

The perfect shipping tape!
This sure start tape if great! It sticks just like the other kinds of shipping tape, but you know that loud ripping sound when you’re trying to tape up a box quietly in an office setting, only for it to be obnoxiously loud anyway? Well- not with this! It really is much quieter. A+++ 3M :)

Great tape

Performs better than expected!

Better than the off-brand tapes!
I usually purchase off-brand packing tape to save money, but when I got a chance to use this free sample from 3M - what a difference! It sticks really well and worth paying for.

Easy to use
Love this packaging tape. It is comes off of the roll well and dispenses easily from the dispenser. The dispenser cuts it easily which makes it easy to apply where you need it. It also holds well in shipping or on boxes that you are just packing up to store. I highly recommend this tape. It lives up to the great Scotch name.
