Poor Quality tape dispenser
the tape refills are great but the dispensers for these refills, not so great. They break very easily and often have received them malfunctioning still brand new. Not good quality at all.

Don't use this on shipping boxes
"Sure Start" is not as thick as the older 3M packaging tape. I used it on all sides of a 20 pound box of books in the usual way (no problems with taping like this in the past). The recipient just wrote to say the box arrived burst open with some other junk in it (not the books), with the statement, "next time use a LOT more tape." So don't rely on this !

Does the Job!
Received a free sample of this product from 3M. Used it to tape medium sized moving boxes. Was pleased with how well the tape held up on the box. Did not come apart as some shipping tapes tend to do. Definitely recommend this tape for your moving needs as well as your basic shipping needs.

Great sticking packing tape!
This tape sticks to boxes unlike other brands I’ve noticed. 3M doesn’t pop off the boxes leave your contents vulnerable.

So Reliable and Now It's Quieter
I usually buy Scotch tape products because they are always frustration-free. This new quieter version of their shipping tape did not disappoint! Easy to start and really is quieter! It was nice to roll it out across my box and not have that loud "eh-eh" noise. Just as thick as the original one too.

Very sturdy!
I am often shipping boxes and of all the packaging tapes this is so far the best one! It really sticks and keeps boxes closed, all my boxes were received with no issues.

Taping a large, heavy box? Easy!
I recently had to tape shut a large, heavy box. Scotch Easy Unwind Packaging Tape made it simple. It was easy to find the end of the roll of tape and it unwound smoothly using one hand.3M provided a free sample of this product for me to evaluate.

Easy to use
I had a few boxes I was looking to reinforce with tape and this stuff filled the bill. The tear off was so crisp and the next segment was ready to go.

Better Option
Being familiar with their other shipping tapes, I was happy to evaluate Scotch® Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape for free when 3M sent me a sample. Durable, quiet and easy to start tape!
This tape works well for taping boxes for shipping. I like that it's a bit thicker than normal packing tape, on top of that it is very easy to start! I received this product from 3M in exchange for my honest opinion.

The roll is easy to start, the tape stays in place and easy to glide over where I need to tape and removes and cuts off where I want to stop with a breeze. Super quiet
Wow. I’m super amazed by how quiet this tape roll dispenses! Most tape rolls you can hear from another room, this one makes no noise at all which makes it perfect for my at home business!

Great for shipping packages!
3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I online shop often and have a lot of returns (thank you Amazon Prime!). This tape is perfect to send back packages. It does not splinter/tear and it is easy to start. I would definitely buy this product again!
