Cheaper 564XL
The new version of the 564XL is lower cost, but has lower capacity. I strongly dislike less capacity and wish the old cartridge was still available. Too bad the name was not changed from 564XL to 564ML. This is a good example of less is less.

Buy the XL size if you can find them.
I've bought these carts before when I'm in a pinch, as was the case just before Christmas. They don't have the desired amount of ink that I would require. Even in draft mode, my HP printer seems to print in bold colors and this size cart just won't last.

What a dissapointment!
Im sorry I ever purchsed the printer that requires this cartridge. The ink quantity is so low I dont even use my printer anymore. I only use it to scan photos and have them printed elsewhere. It's cheaper that way. This is the second Hp printer out of 5 that I have had ink problems with and it will be the last. Ink is too expensive for the amount you get. I don't know h...

Unclear differentiation of black ink cartridges
I was misled into ordering the wrong black-ink cartridge. I needed the black that works with the color cartridges, but ordered instead the independent wider black cartridge that doesn't fit the narrow slot to the left of the color cartridges. Even the larger size does not last long.....I have always used HP printers, previous models' ink cartirdges all lasted for longer time periods/# of copies.

not enough ink
apparently hp doesn't read these reviews as the amount of ink in cartridges is still poor. don't know this until printer is bought and have to replace cartridge.won't buy another hp printer unless they wise up and stop short changing the customer.

black ink runs out quickly
the printer is good, the ink runs out WAY too quickly. this is going to be a costly printer in the long run.

HP Ink - 564
I find the product expensive and it doesn't provide nearly the number of copies it purports to provide. Overall, its readily available and the printers are easy to use so I tolerate the expense and frequent replacements needed. Frankly I think all companies pull us in with their cheap units and then overcharge for ink to cover their expenses.
