Cheaper 564XL
The new version of the 564XL is lower cost, but has lower capacity. I strongly dislike less capacity and wish the old cartridge was still available. Too bad the name was not changed from 564XL to 564ML. This is a good example of less is less.

A frequently used ink cartridge.
I have three printers connected to my computer because of multiple task that I perform at home. The printer that uses the HP 564 black is the high use printer and is used over 70% of the printing documents and color form and pictures.

HIGHLY OVERPRICED ITEM
Your ink products are a true rip off! You really take advantage of your loyal customers, who will need to buy other brands in the future to afford the ink! It's disgusting. We buy your product and then can't afford the ink, for which there are no generic inks that can be used. I've loved HP all these years, but I'm fast changing my mind. I can't afford you!

Runs out real fast
I just bought a HP printer that uses this ink cartridge, and while the prints look nice, it consumes ink at a very fast rate.
I will use the 564XL ink cartridge next simply for a longer life, yet I will pay more.
HP got me and my wallet!!

Not enough ink
I think the the quality is fine but quantity wise... there is not enough ink inside a cartridge.

Not worth the price but...
Cartridge life is highly over-rated... figure about 1/2 of what is advertised. Even XL version has been reduced in life rating but still sold at original higher price. Other than quality... HP is no longer the best deal for the consumer. I'm stuck with this because I own an HP printer !

good copy, poor cartridge life
I have never gotten the amt of copies that HP says I'll get from these cartridges! I can expect less than 100 copies each time. I am not happy at all!
