Cheaper 564XL
The new version of the 564XL is lower cost, but has lower capacity. I strongly dislike less capacity and wish the old cartridge was still available. Too bad the name was not changed from 564XL to 564ML. This is a good example of less is less.

Great choice overall!
I had a Brother multifunction that could copy, fax, print, and scan. The ink cost was terrible and it lacked wireless capability.
My experience with HP proves to be better overall. I can print high quality documents and photos with wireless capability. The ink is less expensive too.

It Prints
The ink does not last 250 pages it is much less. Buy the larger cartridge it is worth the cost. This is a small version of the ink. It is good if you do not have a lot of money or you are just trying to bridge to your next printer, like I am.

The cartridge replacement was quick.
Unfortunately my HP Photosmart 5510
After only 18 months developed a leak at the nozzle
And all the black ink was leaking into the bottom
Of the printer.

Easy replacement
Once I understood the difference between the black ink cartridge and the photo cartridge, it was easy to replace. I tried putting it in the wrong place at first and it did not fit. You do have to push the orange plastic hard to move it out of the way. Printing is clear and dries quickly. Haven't used it long enough to know if it lasts long or not. Since I only bought th...
