Cheaper 564XL
The new version of the 564XL is lower cost, but has lower capacity. I strongly dislike less capacity and wish the old cartridge was still available. Too bad the name was not changed from 564XL to 564ML. This is a good example of less is less.

Great coverage and lasts along time
This was my first printer that used this cartridge and does an excellent job for the cost. I first wondered about the installation compared to an older HP printer but these are easy also.

Non-XL cartridges don't last long but are really cheap - just a good fill-in until I canget to the store again.....

I use this cartridge on a daily basis. The performance is excellent. The color is sharp and does not smear. This cartridge is used along with three other colors in my printer. The ink cartridge immediately loads, thus no
testing or waste of first sheet. It adjusts immediately to your work requests. Color is always on. Well packaged and easy to insert.
Black being the most used allows me to purchase
the extended double cartridge so I don't have to run back to Staples as often for a refill.

I would buy again
The last cartridge I purchased didn't last very long and it was labeled as the XL. I was very disappointed in the amount of use I got out of it since it was twice the price as this one. I will continue to buy this cartridge. It seems to last just as long, if not longer, than the XL.

Efficient but expensive
What can you say regarding ink ? It does a fine job as far as your printing needs go. It offers deep, rich colors and is easy to change out cartridges. If there is a drawback it is obviously in the expense of printing ink in general which is not unique to this product. It's easy and uncomplicated . Don't make the mistake of getting the 564xl which is not necessarily compatible with the 564.

Very disappointed in the number of prints per cartridge. I estimate that only half the number of prints stated on packaging can be printed. I only print text documents and would never even attempt to print graphic, charts, or photos with these cartridges. This product is a great product.
The product is a great product, but unless I purchase the XL cartridge, I go through it much too quickly. I have a tendency to do a great deal of printing, and that is the major reservation that I have. The printing is clear and does not easily smear, it is very easy to change out the cartridge, and the package is wrapped so that it is very well protected.
