Cheaper 564XL
The new version of the 564XL is lower cost, but has lower capacity. I strongly dislike less capacity and wish the old cartridge was still available. Too bad the name was not changed from 564XL to 564ML. This is a good example of less is less.

Photostat light to be able to print text without photo black

564 black ink cartridge
The cartridge only registered as 2/3's full. I couldn't take it back because I had a time limit to print some very important documents. I felt like I got ripped off as they are expensive. The employees at the store were polite.

The box had been changed and at first I bought the wrong one. Brought it back and they were very good about getting me the right one.
Two blacks and one always said XL. The other didnāt . Now itās changed and Iām aware. Iām sure Iām not the only one to make a mistake.

Bad cartridge leaked when opened
The black photo cartridge leaked when I opened the protective plastic. Had issues with both cartridges color and pack with black cartridge and the cartridge I am evaluating on My son needed to use the printer because of finals for school. At this time the black print does not work and the photo print does not work because of the leakage on the cap in top. Poor product.

I like purchasing ink cartridges from HP because they send a bag with the shipment to send the used cartridges back for recycling.

564 Photo black is hard to find in any of the local retail outlets. Onlinw at HP it is easy to buy but have to wait for it to be delivered
