I like how the paper attaches to the cover. Allows me to easily use a page Even at the center of the pad. No need of working in the binding.

Damaged
2 out of 3 notebooks arrived with water damage. Pages all wonky and spotted. Even without the damage, these are low quality. Would not recommend.

Cover too heavy, warps
I was trying to stay away from the plastic covers, but this isn't the solution. The cover is not flexible at all, and so I set it aside in my office, thinking I would find a use for it. I found it under a pile 8 months later and the cardboard cover is warped. It's really not salvageable.

Cardboard covers warp
These seem to be the replacement for the no-longer-manufactured Staples Sustainable Earth composition notebooks, which were great. These still have the bagasse paper, which is very nice, but there's something wrong with the cardboard they're using for the covers, and after a couple of months the covers warp so badly that they twist out of the tape binding.

Nice covers, affordable eco ntbk
Nicw heavy covers! Pages aren’t luxurious but are eco friendly and at a price that can’t be beat. Love these with a fabric composition notebook cover; i will stock up as my standby work jots notebook.

Good journal with Kraft Cover
I will use these journals as Art Journals by putting Watercolor paper additions for the art. Lined pages are not my favorite but didn’t see an option for blank pages. Very pleased to find Kraft Covers. Will be easy to add art or decoration to it. Please make blank pages! Good find!

Real hard covers
Over the years, the quality of composition books has deteriorated. The covers are nothing more that crummy card stock, flimsy, flimsy, flimsy. But these Tru Red composition books are awesome. Nice cardboard covers and the paper is made of recycled plant material, very nice to write on.

Great notebook and price, but ditch the branding.
Very happy with the size and quality of these notebooks. Two small — perhaps idiosyncratic — desires:
1. label on back leaves traces either of glue or ripped paper when removed. This is a pet peeve of mine with all kinds of products. It’s 2020. Surely this can be avoided now.

Sustainable Earth Compo Notebook
The lines are too widely spaced. Much wider than regular college ruled notebooks. Seems like the spacing is for young children. Not useable for my writing use.

Not what I expected
I saw someone on YT using this and said she loved it, so I purchased it. It's worse than a typical composition notebook. The binding is loose and very cheap. I understand it's recycled materials, but it's grossly overpriced for the quality.

Quality dropped, No fountain pen, No rollerball, No ballpoint
The Staples sugarcane notebook used to have fountain pen friendly paper. Now the quality has dropped in the last 2 books I purchased. It has bleed-through and feathering on all inks. Even regular rollerball and ballpoint pens have show-through on the reverse page.
