Works. And it's easier than you might think to disconnect the old one, connect the new. Check the APC website to make sure you're getting the correct battery for your backup unit.

Replacing the battery was not reVOLTing
I was able to renew my existing APC Back-UPS to new condition by swapping out the internal battery using this Replacable Battery Cartridge (RBC17). Now my BN900M is back in service and my home office PC never skips a beat. Ordering, shipping, and receiving went smoothly and quickly. Thanks.

Battery was manufactured 3 months ago; very happy
Works as advertised; I was worried the battery may be old, however it was manufactured 3 months ago. Always happy with APC replacement batteries!

Replacement batter cheaper and just as good as new
The previous battery didn't have a charge and was expanding.
