No problem
Works. And it's easier than you might think to disconnect the old one, connect the new. Check the APC website to make sure you're getting the correct battery for your backup unit.

Replacement batter cheaper and just as good as new
The previous battery didn't have a charge and was expanding.

Disappointment with the unit, and support.
I have ordered replacement battery as that was indicated by the unit. Battery arrived, but unit is not working, still beeping and not providing any power (neither via power source or battery).
