Blue cartidge
better to use the high yield for my printer as I do many church bulletins every week and want the printout to look professional.

HP 920XL Black Ink Cartridge
HP 920XL Black Ink Cartridge- is easy to install in my printer- I also got a good deal through Staples- buy one get the other 50% off. Ink is expensive- so happy to find a sale. I also participate in the empty cartridge return for a rebate.

Cartridge refill
I own a HP Officejet 6500A which uses #920 cartridges. When i run low I can always find the supplies at any Staples Store. I can return my used cartridges which is great. HP 920 XL Ink Cartridges
A good buy for the money considering that you get twice the average life of a "regular" cartridge for about 2/3 greater cost. However be sure to use the cartridge within the date printed on the back of the package or it may not be usable by your printer as I recently found out when my printer rejected one as defective.

XL size is a better value.
This review is for the HP 920xl. I buy the xl size because they are a better value and last longer than the normal size. I buy only HP cartridges and I don't use refills. I've noticed that my printers last longer and function better when I use new HP cartridges. Only reason I rated 3 stars is because of the price. The markup is terrible for ink and toner. Inconsistent results
I have used the HP 920 Black cartridge for many years. Periodically the cartridge fails to print properly requiring me to replace it prematurely. I am not sure if the cartridge dries out or if the printer is experiencing difficulty. When operating properly the black print is clear never smudges and produces outstanding results. HP Ink Cartridges
The 920 HP Ink Cartridges are the type I use in my HP printer. They are good quality but don't seem to last veery long!

The XL or high yield cartridges are great and last at least 2x as long as the regular ones. We try to stck up when they are on sale or if we have a staples coupon. We find buying our office supplies all at once saves up repeated trips And we only have to take inventory twice a year. Staples also recycles used ink cartridges and gives credits when you turn them in.
