A Clarification...
For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!

920 ink and 6500 printer
Terrible ink performance and incorrect out of ink prompts. You may get 30 prints and then the out of ink message comes on, but you will get another 200 prints so just ignore the prompt

why does it cost more than the colors?
I use the HP ink catrtidges because that is the type of printer that I have. I use it in card making for the sentiments printing. Just don't know why the black has to cost twice as much as the color catrtidges.

practical way to buy ink
It's nice not to have to replace ink cartridge so often. the black now lasts as long as the smaller color cartridges

A Better Value
Stores are not always well stocked with the XL or multi packs. To order them online, I need a more liberal return policy. HP inks are too expensive to start with, so the XL was a welcome find. But I'm still paying about $130/month for ink which adds up too fast for me.
