A Clarification...
For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!

920 ink and 6500 printer
Terrible ink performance and incorrect out of ink prompts. You may get 30 prints and then the out of ink message comes on, but you will get another 200 prints so just ignore the prompt

HP 920XL (CD975AN) Black Ink Cartridge,
I have been mostly happy with the product. I did have some trouble with the last one I purchased. It still showed ink but it quit printing. I don't know if the ink cartridge had dried out but I felt like I didn't get the full use of the cartridge.

Good Value for Price
My experience with the 920XL is outstanding. My cartridge has four weeks of moderate printing and over 250 sheets yet still shows nearly full in the estimated ink level. I use normal settings and 600 dpi. Most of my printing is business spreadsheets, business checks and b/w business material. I'll revisit this if my estimated level prooves overly optimistic but for now,...

What can I say,Great but I want for less
General ducument printing and some photo or tri-color work. Better than its predacesor. I want a sale now and then HP. Good stuff but HP shuld have NIXED compaque when they aquired.

The best Ink Cartridge on the market.
I use my HP printer very frequently and I get better prints then I did with my old Dell printer.

Time will tell
This is the first cartrige that I have replaced in this printer but it was very easy to install.It has crisp printing and dries very quick.I can't say for sure if it lives up to the 1200 page estimate but if it does I would say it is a real bargin at this price.

XL Better then 920 (regular)
Our all-in-one printer came with the 920XL Combo print cartridges and we bought one regular 920 Combo print cartridge replacement. The 920XL seemed like it printed page after page for months whereas the regular 920 printed page after page for maybe 3 weeks. That was the disappointment. I won't make that mistake again!

Excellent but cartridge life sucks.
We get roughly half of the advertised printed pages per cartridge. A little more truth in advertising would be nice...

Runs out fast
Only use the printer once in a while, last ink cartridge lasted about 3 months (I print about 5 pages a month in fastdraft quality - coupons, directions here an there). The most annoying thing though is really about the way the printer functions rather than this particular ink cartridge- I have to replace all ink cartridges not just the black one when the ink runs out f...

it is a decent product but I challenge i

better than the standard HP 920
bought the HP printer to allegedly save money on ink--not true! cost as much or more than previous printer ink!!!!!!! re recommending to a friend--only because it last longer than the standard 920
