A Clarification...
For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!

920 ink and 6500 printer
Terrible ink performance and incorrect out of ink prompts. You may get 30 prints and then the out of ink message comes on, but you will get another 200 prints so just ignore the prompt

I bought an HP printer because of the ability to buy just the cartridge color I needed or to buy sets of color, sets with color and black or just black ink as necessary. I have never had a problem with an original HP ink cartridge. The Staples rewards for recycling empty ink cartridges and buying new cartridges makes shopping at Staples enjoyable over and over again.

HP 920XL Black Ink
I like the XL cartridges. They last about 2 1/2 times the regular ones. The color is great when you are not running low on ink. Would always buy this product.

By choice my system uses the HP ink cartridges, and 920 is the cartridge I use. I have found that the regular cartridges work fine. However, whenever I have used the XL cartridges, I found that they last so much longer and I don't have order as often or make trips to a Staples retail location as frequently. I love the XL packages on all of the toner colors. They definitely last longer and that is what it is all about. As much printing as I do, I was constantly changing ink until I purchased the XL cartridge on the suggestion of one of Staple's staff. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Besides the monetary savings, I am saving time in running to pick up another cartridge and changing cartridges :)

I question the amount of ink in my last XL black cartridge I printed about 200 pages and my ink supply was gone I do not use a lot of ink and usually my cartridges last 3-4 months or more this last one acted like one of those that are supplied with a new printer - very low amount of ink
