A Clarification...
For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!

920 ink and 6500 printer
Terrible ink performance and incorrect out of ink prompts. You may get 30 prints and then the out of ink message comes on, but you will get another 200 prints so just ignore the prompt

Great Value
The 920XL cartridges are a great value. They last longer than the regular cartridges, so you don't have to buy them as often. It really helps to cut down on the trips to the store and the price is very reasonable as well.

I have purchased remanufactured cartridges and HP 920 cartridges. Both have worked in the printer but the life expectancy necessitated replacement more often. I have teenagers in the home and their printing needs for school doesn't help the "longevity" of the cartridge. I purchased the HP920XL because it promises more time before changing. Replacement ink from HP always good although, a bit pricey for the size of the container. I use nothing but HP printers and HP ink.

I've tried refilling cartridges and it hasn't worked out for me. I find nothing is better than the actual HP product. I don't waste time so I always purchase XL cartridges.
