Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

Does an ink cartridge need a review?
I understand the value of product reviews when looking at the performance, convenience, durability, etc. of a product but does an ink cartridge need a review? Should I say I want twice the ink for 1/2 the price? Not ink
The problem was not that the cartridge was out of ink but rather that my printer was not printing yellow

HP Reliable Printing
I've owned various other manufacturers' printers both for personal and business use, wish I had started with HP to begin with. So user friendly and stingy with ink - cartridges seem to last forever and are reasonably priced. You can easily achieve whatever print quality is needed.

Ink OK but best ink box so far
The ink is fine. Unfortunately, as with other inkjet inks, even after the ink drys if you get your document wet (even after a year) the ink will smear. Use for photos is not recommended for anyone who doesn't live in the Sahara desert. On the other hand the ink box is even nicer than the HP02 ink box. Wonderful box, ink is pretty good too
The ink runs if it gets wet even after it initially drys. This makes a problem for photo use--which could smear if made wet even after a few years. On the other hand the box is very nice--so rectangular. It makes me want to collect all the boxes in this series.

Half the ink is used up with alignment
Having lost our modem to an electrical storm, the printer needed alignment and it used up half the cartridge.

This ink tank is no different from any other one on the market today not enough ink and WAY OVER PRICED. There is a reason that ALL printer manufacturers see printers for the prices that they do, they actually loose money on the sale of most printers. The yellow ink for the hp officejet pro 8500 does what it needs to do, producing great quality print outs, but it seems to be the cartridge I go through the most. I have never been able to obtain more than 250 pages of print from each cartridge.
This 900 pages that you advertise to me is a fantasy. So I'm stuck with this printer so I might as well use it. Only until it completely breaks down. Will I buy another HP I don't think so.
