Page turns gray.
It would print with this toner, but the paper would turn out “dirty” looking. Like the toner was adding a faint, or not so faint, layer of gray on the entire page. We had to order one from HP itself and will be returning the Staples brand toners.

Does not work in my printer
Advertised that it will work in my printer. When i installed it display says HP non compliant cartiridge installed.

TRU REDHP 42X (Q5942X) Remanufactured Toner Cartridge
The cartridge would not be recognized on the HP Laser Jet printer4250/4350 series. Previous Staples branded Sustainable Earth Toner re-manufactured cartridge worked fine but the Tru Red could not be recognized by the printer. Returning to Staples.

Used 6 of these over several years with no issues ever. Seem identical in performance to HP at a considerable savings. So far so good
Seems to be a good value. Just a little concerned about the appearance of the cartridge. Looks a little ruff even for a recycled one. Hopefully that will not be come an issue and is only cosmetic.

Poor Quality
My company only allows to purchase this brand (even though some models cost the same as the HP brand) cartridge leaks creating smudges on documents documents are constantly being reprinted we are wasting toner and paper.
