Tru Red
Purchased and when placed in fax it only lasted for 3 faxes each 1 page. All other faxes were unreadable. Toner did not last and wasted my schools money.

Toner is more expensive than it needs to be so glad there is an alternative.

Remanufactured products are not always the best.
I have not always liked to purchase remanufactured products. In this instance 1 out of 2 of the Canon S35 Remanufactured Toner Cartridges was defective. But Staples is making it right...the cartridge is being returned and a credit has been issued. Thank you Staples.

The Tru Red printer cartridge worked as well as the Canon brands I have used in the past. Very please with the quality of the product.

Terrible
The first one we received allowed ink to go all inside of the printer. That caused a giant mess. Staples sent a new one and it would not work at all in the printer. It may say that it was compatible but in fact it was not. We have used other Tru Red product and never had a problem with them but I would not recommend this specific one.

Had to return it
As soon as I put the TruRed Canon S35 Remanufactured Standard Yield Toner in my copier....it jammed. After repeated tries of opening the door taking out the paper jam reinstalling the toner cartridge if continued to jam jam jam. I called a copier tech and he told me to put the old (original Canon S35) back into the machine and try again. Guess what? No paper jams! ...

So far so good
The copies are good. There haven't been any smudging issues like we've had with other non-Canon cartridges.

Staples alternatives
Sustainable earth toner cartridge is a great alternative to the brand we previously purchased. The item is really the same as the brand name equal item but the cost is so much more reasonable. Staples web site makes it easier to compare prices and they really do have quality products.

Sustainable Earth by Staples Remanufactured Black Toner Cartridge Canon FX-8 (8955A001A).
Poor quality - unhappy with product. Ink is very light. Will not recommend or buy again. Will need to purchase a different brand somewhere else. Product not up to recommendations.

Sustainable Earth Toner Works Great
This remanufactured toner by Staples works great. I have used it for years and have never had a problem. Very good copies and a big savings on toner. I would recommend the Sustainable Earth Toner (which substitutes for the S-35 toner from Canon) to anyone who needs trouble free nicely copied items.
