Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

Considering what we used to do to save money when buying cartridges, refilling empty ones, the XL size option is simply easier. The only issue that I've had with these cartridges is an exploration date warning I keep getting with one cartridge. HP 02XL Ink cartridge
Like all brand name ink cartridges, I think highly overpriced. However that's what we have to live with. When I see on sale I do stock up. In this case was not on sale but I needed it as I was almost out of this color. The XL cartridges offer slightly better value but wish the ink cartridge producers weren't so greedy and would lower the price a bit. But quality is good...

I plan on buying this product again!
Started using the XL ink cartridges just a couple months ago and I'm pleasantly surprised how much longer they last than the regular cartridges and hence more cost effective. I'm happy I made the switch and suggest others do the same!

Large Capacity Ink!
Glad they sell the large capacity of the different colors. Wish I had known this about 6 years ago! Also, make sure you check the "expiration" date on the bottom of the box. Grab the one with the longest date, it'll keep you from getting an annoying "ink cartridge is expired" notice.

Been Buying for Years
I've been purchasing for years with excellent results and will continue to do so. My printing of letters; photos; and documents is excellent. The only down side is the cost of the cartridges but I've found that Staples does the best with that.
