Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

I don't think I get an advantage to buying the larger cartridges; I think proportionally there is no advantage. I could be wrong.

Extra yield, time saver,
I enjoy using the XL cartridges because they last longer and save time. The HP cartridges also seem brighter, cleaner, may be a little more expensive but worth it.

I would buy this product again
I like HP products so I'll continue to purchase ink cartridges. What I like most about the ink cartridges is there is virtually no waste because each color has its own cartridge.

Works as expected but XL Cyan cartridge does not show high yield bar on HP8250 so you have no indication of it lasting longer than the normal cartridge does.

Love the ease of using these cartridges!
I use the product to produce estimates, invoices and multiple color pix. The cartridges are so easy to use as is the printer. No messy fingers ever!
