TOO THICK to get under flap of envelopes
purchased Oct. 2018 - The "finger" of this letter opener is extremely thick, making it difficult to just slide under the flap of the mail I need to open. I have to turn it sideways to get under the flap, then vertical to make the cut - really unnecessary and annoying when doing a high volume.. DONT buy this one until they re-design it.

Product fine, shipping absurd
The product is fine and suitable for its purpose; but it was packaged all by itself in an enormous box, perhaps 13" by 10" by 7", with half a dozen plastic cushioning bubble-pillows. What an incredible waste!

The Little Blade That Could
I love these little letter openers. They perform like a champ! And the price is such that once one starts getting dull - which takes quite a long time - it's very inexpensive to replace.

They usually carry these at the store but were out and no one could tell me if they were going to get them again. So I went online and got them quickly. Only negative is the box they came in was large compared to the product, which seemed wasteful. Could have been shipped in an envelope.

Basically, it is quite good. The only problem is that the tip should be shorter, which would allow the blade to travel completely to the opposite side of the envelope. Because the tip is full length, while the blade is only a fraction of the length, the plastic tip point travels to the other side of the envelope before the blade gets there.
