HP 61XL High Yield Tri-color Cartridge is great.
My HP wireless printer has served me very well and the HP 61XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge has never given me any problem.

Cartridge did not fit in printer
I have been ordering cartridge #61 for some time and successfully using them in my printer. This time, the printer flashed "Tri-Color Cartridge Problem" and the whole printer has now gone down. Plus no service on the weekend to explore this problem with me.

Can always count on Staples to have my printers' cartirdges in stock but, it would be even nicer to have the prices lower and the cartridges to last longer. SHORTLY AFTER REPLACING MY CURRENT CARTRIDGE WITH THIS ONE, MY PRINTER WOULD NOT PRINT. NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE! KEPT GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE, THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CARTRIDGE. I try not to print much in color since my printed info is just to remind me of info I have read. It lasts for at least six months or more.

Not good enough
Recently acquired a new printer that uses the HP 61XL. Too tell the truth, this cartridge disables the entire unit even if only one color has been depleted. This is not only wasteful but very inconvenient and noneconomical. I am totally dissatisfied with this feature that appears to be designed not for the customer but for the bottom line of the manufacturer!

New to Me
With a change of color printer, I had to change my toner numbers. The non-XL cartridge provided fewer pages than anticipated. Am now using an XL cartridge and anticipating better production. Was disappointed that I could not exchange my on-hand 74's and 75's for the 61's I now need.

HP ink is good but the ink supply does not last long making it expensive to keep replacing ink cartridges, after a short period of time.

Ink prerformance.
This is the longest lasting and best quality ink I have used. I can print more information and quality pictures of my granddaughter's collage experience and for my ancestery searches of three family lines without having to change cartriges so often. Also my daughter prints a lot of information and forms for her Girl Scout activeties. The cartrige is easy to change.
