Pen doesn't work. All answers are "incorrect"
Worked for a little bit. Now we're using it for our 2nd child and the pen gives "incorrect" for every choice.
Tried cleaning the pen tip, changing batteries, tapping on every part of the circles... Nothing.

I think the product will help my grandson.
This was bought for our soon-to-be 3yr old grandson. Only after it came did I realize I needed the pen. The items have been enjoyed by our grandson and he may settle down and try to learn the sounds. He liked using the pen. There could have been more instructions and tips on using the cards.

Fun way for kids to learn beginning phonics!
We love hot dots sets because it is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn! I have been trying to find ways to keep teaching my 5 year old in order to prepare her for kindergarten in the fall. Needs a minor improvement
To be a fully autonomous product for pre-readers, there should be a black dot next to the instructions on each card. This way the child can hear what is expected of them rather than having an adult have to be nearby at all times to instruct. Was disappointed when I discovered this. Fun Phonemic Learning Product for Preschoolers!
My students enjoy practicing the letter sound skills using the the Hot Dots Jr. and "Ace" the puppy pen set. I appreciate the fact beginning and ending sounds are included in the practiced skills. As a classroom teacher I also appreciate the sound options when using "Ace" the puppy pen. Thank You!
