Adds a little more protection when mailing
Nice to have when mailing items that need a little more protection than a regular manila envelope or plain envelope.

Unable to use all of envelopes
Out of the 8 in this package I was only able to use 2 because the horribly cheap plastic packaging melted the sticky part of the envelopes so they ended up sticking together I will not be buying again

Ink smears on plastic envelopes
Plastic envelopes offer little resistance to bending, and using a rubber stamp results in ink smears, even after the ink has had time to dry, or is covered with transparent tape. And plastic actually costs much more money than white kraft (paper).

Good, but could be better
There's a notch at the top of the envelope that makes it easy for the recipient to open. Unfortunately, that notch might also make it easy to open in transit. They don't seem to be very well made.
