NOT REAL WOOD!
I read the product description, specifications, and at least 20 reviews here before ordering. The description says "made of laminated wood" and "cleated back". It is actually just a piece of what is essentially vinyl flooring. IT IS NOT REAL WOOD. And I would not call the back "cleated" or "rubber". It's also a little rough on the back, so I am afraid it might not prote...

minimally okay
Went cheap; seems okay, but haven't had the courage to lift to see how floor underneath is faring.

Functional enough
Pros: durable, protects the floor, easy to move rolling chair on, affordable compared to comparable products for similar functional and quality needs.
Cons: slides around if not secured down by the desk, not that visually appealing, unnatural wood appearance, shows scratches.

Strange Odor and Delivery
Delivery person left the unwrapped mat on the side of my condo. It was dusty and dirty.
Also, the mat omits a chemical odor. I hand washed it with soft and water which helped reduce the smell.

Does the job
I purchased this for my home office set up. It doesn't quite match our bamboo flooring (none of the colors would have) but it looks really nice! Some minor scratching after the first few weeks of usage but I'll be buying a new office chair soon and hoping that prevents further scratching.

It was delivered rolled into an oval, then unboxed and sat indoors to warm up for a day, then partly unrolled for a day, then laid it flat under heavy boxes for a week. A wrestling match to unroll
Item is as described. Came rolled and was VERY hard for one person to unroll. I expect it will eventually flatten under the weight of the chair and some heavy weights. Unlike reviews from past years, the label came off easily.
