Canon CLI-42 - barely any ink
I purchased this for my Canon printer to print shipping labels. I have only printed about 10 labels and I need to replace the cartridge already. This is supposed to be a photo printer. I would get 1 photo printed at this rate.

Canon CLI-42 Inks
Should last longer than they do. A definite supply issue going on with getting all the colors. Went to Canon site for several others, and there, even one color is on back order.

Disappointed that full sets of CLI-42 inks are not available
I was disappointed Canon does not have full sets of eight ink cartridges for my Pixma 100 printer. Having to buy individual CLI-42 in cartridges was both a waste of my time and of resources. Also I have not yet received the printer paper that was supposed to come with my purchase of several separate CLI-42 cartidges

Canon replacement ink cartridge
Ink cartridge is same as the original. The cartridges could have been bigger containing more ink so that it will last longer printing more pages.

Great ink
This is the only ink I use for my Canon Pixma Pro 100 photo printer. Whatever you do don't use an off brand ink it messes up all Canon printers

Pixma pro - special ink for photo printing
Its specialized ink for photo printing, not understanding why Canon needs a rating. third party inks may be cheaper but have lower quality or compatibility.

Canon CLI-42 ink cartridges are the only refills that will work properly with my Canon printer without damaging it. Do not use cartridges that have been refilled in those after market ink stores, they will damage your printer head.
