Could shred metal
I wouod not recommend shredding sheets of metal with this thing but it is tough! We replaced our long loved and abused office shredder with this thing and have had 0 issues with it. It doesn't skip a beat when you put 18 sheets in it and it has lights on it that tells you how much if a load its under. Wouod highly recommend this product.

JUNK! several issues right out of the box
I've had several Fellowes shredders over the years but this one is just not functional. Isues are, first, it runs continuously. will not stop for any reason other than powering off, overheating or safety switch activation. Second, will shut down after only 2 to 3 minutes of running with the overheating light illuminated and will not turn back on for at least 20 minutes....

Could shred metal

There is nothing like shopping at the QUILL Office Supply Store!
Quill makes it so easy to shop and compare prices. I purchased the same name brand shredder "Fellowes" about 10 years ago from Quill. That Shredder is still working today. But I didn't want to worry about 'the ole boy' breaking down; so I purchased another "Fellowes" from Quill just in case. Thank you Quill!

I have a 10 Year Old "Fellowes Shredder" that I bought from Quill. 'The Ole Boy" still works but has been beaten up. So I went back to Quill to purchase another "Fellowes Shredder" just in case! Thank you Quill.

Best Shredder Ever !!!
We had this exact shredder for 9 years with no issues so when it finally broke there was no question as to which shredder we would buy to replace it. It never gave us any issues and was like the Energizer Bunny just kept on shredding. Best one we ever bought.

New Fellowes Powershred

Very Pleased!!
I previously had the Staples Professional Series for about 10 years before it quit on me. I took me a while to find this one that is very comparable. Love the size of the waste basket so I don't have to empty it all the time. It is very quiet. It gets the job done and I like the safety features since I have littles in my office sometimes.

Not so quite
Worked quietly for 2 months and less than 400 sheets of paper. It is now making grinding noise and right at the end sounds like somethings breaking inside. Also, I now have to push the paper in by applying some force, whereas before I just dropped the paper in. Not sure, perhaps a not fully QC'd unit? I mean other reviews rave about it!

Performance and efficiency
