Page estimates off.
The page amounts listed- around 200 - seem a bit exaggerated. I got 126 on the smaller cartridge and 354 on the xl one that touts around 600. Far cry from the estimates. I understand it depends on a few variables, like how filled each page is, how bold is your font, etc, but still is quite a ways from the approximations.

Runs out of ink too quickly
They run out of ink too quickly. They're either barely filled or the ink used dries easily. Either way they should last longer than they do, but I know that HP does this on purpose so we'll have to keep buying more cartridges than we should have to. When this printer dies I'm getting a Brothers. Last HP printer EVER!

Where does the ink go?
I bought this cartridge a couple of weeks ago and it is showing to be empty already. My printing load has been light to average. Not sure what is going on. Instant Ink (which I canceled) lasted forever.

Cartridge replacement.
These cartridges are designed so that aftermarket products will not work. Realizing this after spending money on non-HP products. I will then have to continue to buy HP as long as printer works. Originally I was enrolled in their ink and paper program which I found to be a scam, because I was using the printer for home use and not printing the quantity that was required...

Ink quality degrades while cartridge is still half or mostly full
Works great initially. It's a nice solid black. But the ink somehow goes bad even when cartridge is still half full. Cleaning and aligning do little to improve the quality. I have to replace the ink long before the cartridge is empty due to very poor quality. I don't know why this happens.

Persistence pays
The printer takes a long time to start printing - perhaps 20 seconds. I occasionally get an error message when printing with no reason for the error. After shutting down the printer maybe three times and starting over, viola, success !
