Works perfectly even on Windows 11
Mine worked perfectly right out of the box on Windows 11 (even though it says it is compatible up to Windows 10). Since there was no Windows 11 driver, I decided to go ahead and try it without updating the drivers.

It says it's "Universal" but it's not
Partly works - I get a display but the colours are misaligned making the display difficult to read. Having read through the Q&A section here, it's interesting that the product includes the word "Universal" in its name yet there are so many answers that begin "Unfortunately, the Lenovo Universal USB 3.0 to VGA/HDMI Adapter (4X90H20061) is not compatible with ......". ...

Replace dead HDMI port
My laptop's HDMI port died, this allowed me to use my external monitor again without changing computers - a life saver!

Simple quality product no extra drivers required
Just what I needed. Wanted to have extra monitors without installing drivers on work laptop. This was plug and play and I now have 3 monitors working off my laptop.

Works perfectly on my laptop.
works like a charm! It takes HDMI and VGA so I can connect to both my external monitors using one adapter. Good for travel as well!

Lenovo adapter
Works great with my Lenovo laptop to give me a second external display. The only issue is my Logitech USB wireless mouse and keyboard sometimes are a little delayed when using this in the second USB port. It is manageable and may just be my laptop’s issue and not the adapter.

Nice product, easy to install.
The video adapter has been a nice addition for my home office. It does use one of the available USB ports.

Lenovo adapter
This is the only adapter that would work correctly with my Lenovo Ideapad. Works perfect with my VGA plug and HDMI.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly as advertised. I'm able to use my 27" Samsung monitor with my 510A Lenovo desktop with no problem. The Samsung is used as a second monitor running through the front panel USB 3.0 port. Pretty much plug and ply.

Sony vga/hdmi adapter
I am using this on a W541 and on a Yag 13 with great sucess. works great on windows 7 and 8/10. If it doesn't work make sure you have the Lenovo u3 vga/hdmi adapter in your device manager.

piece of junk - doesn't work
Only the VGA works. The HDMI port doesn't. PIECE OF JUNK!!! Do not buy.

Does not work at all
I am a Sr Systems Engineer and I am not able to get this product working with my new lenovo w550s . (this is a legit issue, not user error) This item was suggested during the online order process on the website. If this item is not compatible, they should not suggest it as an option to bundle with the purchase.
