Exactly as expected
Chosen for it's size and that it is corded. Replacement for model 1016 which was quieter and had a 6ft cord. Perfect size for my hand, nice and small. It works effectively. Button clicks are quite loud but I've gotten used to it. Scroll is ok, pretty smooth. Was disappointed with the short cord; only 2 feet. Had to also purchase an extension.

the best little mouse
The scroll wheel is almost completely silent. The surface is plastic and doesn't have an annoying texture that rubs away from use. The cord means no batteries to replace. The small size (approx 2.5 inches long) makes it easy to pack and transport anywhere. I love this little mouse.

Great product at an affordable price.
I like this mouse a lot, it does exactly what I want it to do, the cord is a little short but I prefer it over a wireless mouse. I did not read till late that it was compact but I am not too sad about it, It still works fine.

Tried and true mouse
Our order of ten mice for the teachers' laptops came on time and in individual boxes, not in a baggie with no documents (unlike some e-tailers who pass off bulk OEM or open-box as new). Microsoft? Compact Corded Optical Mouse
Microsoft Compact Corded Optical Mouse 500 by MICROSOFT CORP. - we find it to good quality, we have five PC and we use this one on all five PC. It's easy to use, works every time.I don't have anything bad to say about this product it's really a no brainer.
