It is perfect for the purpose that I bought it! Some applications where surge protectors are needed are not appropriate for huge and bulky multi-plug units... which are too big, too heavy. I use this one for my new overhead door opener. I was surprised that it was so hard to find single plug units.

Tripp Lite Spikecube Series 1 Outlet 600 joule surge suppressor
I purchased this item for my treadmill. I'm very pleased with this product. This was only available on line. Not available in the store. My shipping was free. It arrived very fast. I'm totally satisfied.

works as expected
works great just wish the prongs would fold in. When traveling it is nice not to have the prongs sticking out and possibly puncturing the brief case
