Garbage Software
Scanner is mediocre at best but the software provided by Xerox to run the machine is absolutely terrible. Default is to provide a separate file for each page scanned. Scan a 100 page document? It breaks it down into 100 separate .pdf files. Changing the settings is non-intuitive. Frequently scans in the negative (swaps black & white so you have an entirely black ...

Would expect it to last longer
Worked well for about 9 months. Now the automatic feed doesn't want to grab any pages forget trying to scan multiple pages at a time. We can use the flatbed but that is time consuming when scanning multiple pages at a time. We've had it just over a year and I'll be buying a new scanner because it only works properly about 1/3 of the time and it's extremely aggravating ...
