My favourite smart device!
Had this for almost two years now and we love it. The only thing is it takes different batteries that aren’t that cheap and don’t last as long as you’d like but watch for the deal on them and buy a few.

Expensive Paperweight
Do NOT GO WITH THIS BRAND! This lock is nothing but a headache and has a high chance of turning itself into a paperweight the first time you change the battery, which drains SHOCKINGLY fast. The company will then outright refuse to refund you. I switched to the popular brand that starts with an 'S' and I am much better off for it. Not worth the sale price.

Great features love the Auto Unlock
Like how they have different colors to match your existing deadbolt it doesn’t interfere with the deadbolt on my main front door

Love the lock
Great lock easy set up and works great with HomeKit and Apple Watch. My only complaint is the auto unlock is 100% effective bit lately it’s been working great. I would recommend the lock. Great that you can open the lock from the August app on your iPhone and Apple Watch

Bricked after about one month
Got a solid pink light and unusable device after the first battery install, about one month into using this lock. August support confirms there's nothing I can do to fix it and wants to replace this device and is refusing a requested refund. Great product!
It’s been great having the August Wi-fi Smart Lock. When we have family visits us, or stay with us while they’ll be in this area for other purposes, they download the app and we can choose how many days to grant them access to the lock. This makes it great when they want to come and leave as they wish!

It has everything I wanted
I’ve had this lock for several years and never had a problem, there is nothing to see on the outside except the original deadbolt. It unlocks when I approach the door and automatically locks at the time I set it to.
It does come with a small keypad that can be mounted outside out of site if desired.

Convenient
For the most part this lock works well. Occasionally it does not communicate and needs a reboot. I wish the batteries would last longer.

Everything is great. Except for keypad
I’ve been using this product over other ones, and it works beautifully. The only flaw is when connecting the keypad, it takes forever to unlock and is not instant. Other than that, it’s a great product.
