It works better as if it is a desktop drive!
I had my fill with desktop drives because they do overheat after a half an hour IF it is not in an enclosure with a fan like the Sabrent EC-7f833 (USb3.0), or EC-UEIS7 as either as USB 2.0 or eSATA connected to the PC port.

‘cuda rocks
very pleased with my new barracuda 500gig drive. lots of storage.quiet and fast.geagate drive wizard however would not clonemy old segate drive over to my new drive. I had to use linux based cloning software to do it.
