Sleek and Efficient
It’s Great! Sleek design and better than earlier generations. Brushed nickel finish fits perfectly with our door and haven't had any problems (yet) with battery life like on our previous generation Yale Nest lock. Assure 2 is the way to go.

worst lock for airbnb
This lock is subpar, and the support is slow. It does NOT update existing booking details if a guest changes the booking, and after a firmware update, it doesn't update at all with new bookings. False advertising.

Worst Locks
I took over 13 properties with Yale locks and literally only problems. Don’t buy them unless you want to spend hours and hours wasting your time because they disconnect from Bluetooth and wifi and etc etc. and won’t update. 2 out of 3 still working for now.
Bought 3 of these locks Dec 30 2021. They worked well for a year and 8 months, then my garage lock started blinking and is non-responsive. Contacted support was bounced around in 3-4 emails answering about 7-9 questions, then told to buy a new lock because the lock was out of warranty. Better with yale and august!
Before I had just august, with keypad, and connect. Very sketching and went through batteries like crazy. Half the time it would not work or connect with Bluetooth. So I upgraded and purchased tge yale lock with keypad, keyless, wifi, and Bluetooth with connect. Since I purchased, I have not had any connection issues and works great.

Attractive lock with a solid feel.
Attractive and has a heavy, solid feel. Directions are for the base model and if you added a module it'll look like you have items which aren't on the parts list. Don't panic; you just have to rely on the app for info on how to add the WiFi/BT module. Also note (not in the directions) that you have to take a battery out, install the module, then put the battery back in....

HomeKit version a dud
Beware of the HomeKit version with the iM1 smart module. This configuration makes it impossible to access advanced features through the Yale apps (you’re forced to use the bare-bones Yale Secure app instead of the full-featured Yale Access), and key HomeKit features like guest access management aren’t implemented. Makes a smart lock pretty dumb.

Great looking lock, very good functionality
The lock is really nice looking and works really well. I love that it integrates with HomeKit seamlessly. It'd be nice if Yale also brought Home Key integration to the lock.

stupidest lock
This is a horrible lock. It works based on off wifi connection which means that if anything happens to the wifi the lock is absolutely useless. we were locked out of the Airbnb for three hours at 4 in the morning and there was nothing anyone could possibly do to open it. Wrong color
I requested a black and a oil Bronze was sent. I tried to call to change, sent email and nobody replied. I had to use the wrong one. I found out after that black was sold out.

Hard to use remotely
I cannot get this lock to work remotely and it’s so frustrating. My codes for rental clients aren’t working, it works well with the master code or if my phone is close by.

This is simply a branding change - if you have a white module with the Yale logo, it is compatible with either the August app or Yale Access app - both offer the exact same features including Auto-Unlock. Same with the Connect Bridge, this is simply a branding change - there is absolutely no difference in product features. Thank you!

I wish I had a better option.
One of my orignal Yale locks stopped working after a year. I spent hours trying to reestablish a wifi connection.
This new Yale Assure lock works with a different app so codes must all be added separately. Very frustrating and inconvenient.

Lock was pretty easy to install but I ran into some issues due to the door I was installing it on. The lock would not show as locked although it was.
