multitasking with power
I got this product from Startech to test and it is a great tool when you need to charge multiple items at the same time and in need of more USB ports and in my case my laptop has only 2 ports.
I have tested it with my Samsung 8 and my wife's iPhone and the charge was perfect, I also could access other hardware as my external HD.

Just as advertised
This is a great product if you need to charge or access multiple USB devices at once. You can even charge/access a USB-C device. It has 3 USB-A ports for most devices now and even has 1 USB-C port for newer devices. Fast 3.0 hub, and adds USB-C port!
Added this hub to the wife's early 2016 Macbook Pro (no USB-C). It just works. being powered makes it easier to use more devices, and charge her phone! In addition, she can use some of the USB-C peripherals I've been adding to our toolbag!
