Not good for dual monitors - I would welcome a sol
Bought this about 90 days ago, using with a Windows Surface 3 Pro, Hub and 2 monitors. I dont' know if the draw from the monitors is too much, but whenever I'm on a video call (Teams, Ring Central, Zoom, doesn't matter) it will freeze every 10-15 min and I have to unplug the adapter to unfreeze.

No sound
Did display both screens and laptop but no sound on zoom call, tried changing settings and still did not work.

Laptop screen goes off once in a while
I used it to connect 2 monitors from the laptop.
It works, but sometimes the laptop screen goes off.
Once disconnecting it, then the laptop screen comes back.
I've confirmed the most updated driver is installed, even re-installed the whole computer with the most Windows 11 update, but it still goes off sometimes.

great part worth its price.
After 2 months trial this the only part work with me lenovo ideapad gaming 3, I add the part to the usb but it didn't work then I got o the website download and install the drive then restart and every thing work very fine. Highly recommended.

Issues with audio and screens flickering!
I've had this for a bit with minimal issues besides not putting out the correct audio. I have both my laptop and this device as default for sound, but this device doesn't play the sounds, only my laptop. I have tried switching settings to fix it, but it doesn't work. Now, when I am running multiple applications, I have 3 screens, it flickers and freezes my entire set up...

Watch out for Windows resources
I've been struggling with this adaptor's use of Windows resources. With dual screen you can see your Window's driver foundation CPU usage jump to 100% depending on the application you are using - or becoming unusable!

Perfect recommendation and communications
My laptop has HDMI output and could not find a splitter to extend to two monitors. I called StarTech support and this gentleman (Harish) guided me to the right product after some technical questions. AND, now not even using the HDMI just one of the USB ports! Very clear communications with these guys.

screen flickering
can't get the mouse to stop flickering on both screens. does not happen when HDMI is plugged in directly.

Exactly what I needed
I needed something that would allow me to connect an additional monitor to my Lenovo Ideapad 530S. It has an existing HDMI port but I needed two external monitors. This little device did the trick! It installed flawlessly and the additional monitor was recognized with no issues what so ever. Great product, fair price. Would purchase again in a heartbeat. Kudos to Starte...

This Product works as expected - for Windows
I am using this for work and it is great. I tried to hook it up to my MacBook at home but it is not supported. It would be great if a driver exists for Mac to solve this issue

Allows use of 2K & 4k displays or older USB3 pcs
Really useful gadget - note also supports true 2K at 2560 x 1440. Have used for allowing staff to try higher res' screens on older pcs and laptops that do not support graphics over 1920 x 1080

Great for your PC, not compatible for MAC
Great unit, worked as described. like the small size, easy to hide in my work space to run 2 monitors off of my lap top when working at home. would give 5 stars if it also worked for my MacBook.

Amazing Adapter
I purchased this adaptor and the USB 3.0 External Video & Graphics Card | Multi-Monitor | USB-Powered | Supports Windows® (Product ID: USB32HDEH) so that I can add two additional monitors and my TV to my laptop. I have no complaints.

Small and few wires. Great for on the road
I’ve been using this as a dock for the rare time i work from home, i can plug my two home PC monitors into my work laptop without a lot of wires. Nice to have the big screens to work on at home. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
