OSX 10.9 compatible USB 3 hub
Gives 2 usb 3.0 ports and 5 usb 2.0 power adapter claims 4Amps doubt it though. It works with my rMBP - other usb3 hubs didn't recognize and I had to return them before finding this one

Dead out of the box
Dead out of the box. MacBook Pro can't see any external drives connected via this hub.

reliable
Works fine with Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan. Very high usb3 file transfer speed.

Ports interfere with each other
I could not get this to work properly as the ports interfere with each other. As well when the powere supply or switch is turned off the unit sucks power from the computer's battery.

Feature-rich worked fine for many weeks
Having read reviews first I already knew that the speed of the first USB device seen by the iMac's port would determine the hub's max speed for the session as USB 2.0 or 3.0. No issue with that. But it became intermittent to be recognized at all then even to maintain its iMac recognition then finally gave up the ghost entirely. However StarTech gave me fast outstand...

Amazing product!
Does what it says it will and then some. The charging port is a nice bonus and even charges iPads. Definitely de-clutters my workspace.
