Simple setup in Windows 7 and XP for ensuring communications to existing RS-232 equipment when classic 9-pin connections don't come with new computers. I also like this version with an industrial metal case and DIN rail style clips. Use the Windows control panel to check which COM ports have been added and go to advanced settings to move the port numbers if necessary.
