Works Like a Charm !
Purchased this item for my HP Envy 19 Laptop. Laptop only had a HDMI connection and my monitor only had a VGA connection. Didn't want to buy a new monitor so gave this a try. It connected with no issue and works great. Highly recommend this item.

Lost Resolution
Bought this adapter to use an old VGA monitor with a newer HDMI computer. The resolution and clarity on the monitor is not as good as it was before. I'm now purchasing a new monitor with HDMI input - guess I wasted my money on this adapter.

Doesn’t work

not for blu-ray
Bought it to watch blu-rays from player on VGA LCD, but the screen output is just video black, no image.

Great image but no audio
When you plug this converter in you get video but no audio. Not even out of your laptop.

Well made, not flimsy
I bought this adapter because the cheaper ones I had gotten elsewhere fell apart, one even on the first use. I decided to pay more for this item, and it was well worth the price. I definitely recommend it. It is reliable and well made.
