Better than expected
I bought this product about 2/3 weeks ago for my old Internal Sata HDD that I removed from and old PC. Instead of smashing it up I decided to buy this cable and turn it into an external storage device (after formatting). I must say for the price it is spot on, the build quality is great, it comes nicely packaged and I did a speed test with my brothers regular External H...

Possible design defect
While current requirements of drive are met by USB3 port, cable still did not work even with multiple computers.

May not work for coning drives
This adaptor reports the disk model as ASImedia, rather than the actual drive that is attached. This is a disadvantage when attempting to clone drives. For example Acronis True Image for Crucial will not run unless it detects a Crucial drive attached. This adaptor is not useful for my application.

Works
Remember this is at theoretical maximum a 5 Gbps spec cable. That being said I have tested it with multiple times on multiple ports of a TP-Link hub using AJA System Lite saw Writes at 416MB/s and Reads @ 433MB/s.

Works very well
I received this adapter a few weeks back, but had to wait for the SSD to arrive. So a couple of days ago the SSD, a kingston A400 240 GB, arrived and I hooked it up to my Raspberry Pi 400, using the USB3S2SAT3CB. It's working like a charm from the start and reaches very satisfying data transfer rates. So all in all I'm very happy with this product, also because it suppo...

SSD Trim Compatible
One of the best USB3.0 to SATA3 cables out there, It works faultlessly with SATA-3 SSDs and 2.5in mechanical drives but I would not expect it to work with 3.5in drives due to the limited power available from a single USB 3.0 port. This cable is one of the few that supports trimming SSDs over USB 3.0. If using fstrim with Linux, a udev rule may be needed. Instructions on...

Great for SSD on Raspberry Pi4
I have a few of these to connect Samsung SSDs to my Raspberry Pi4's. Since these can boot from a USB3 connected device, I have no SDcards in use at all. I am getting reads around 350MB/s and thats just amazing. Stay away from BOT USB2SATA adapters as the throughput isn't the only issue, also the response time is worse.

Completely disappointed
Item did not fit securely into my drive. Was not able to connect it at all. When I went to return it, I was told I was outside the 14 day limit—which, in the time of pandemic, ought to be relaxed. So, not able to return, not able to use. Expensive piece of electronic recycling.

I hope it helps
At first it did not show a drive in windows explorer. I was thinking of writing a bad review, but then I opened Computer Manager/Disk Administration, turned out that the main volume on the drive did not have a partition

Works well and part of my toolkit!
The USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive adapter cable w/UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD / HDD works with my Windows laptop but it seemed like I needed a USB 3.0 port to provide enough power because when plugged into a USB 2.0 it would not light up. No special software or drivers required - the hard drive showed up as another drive when I looked at My Computer. ...

Very Good investment!
Most USB to Notebook enclosures are USB2.1, are slow when there is USGB 3.0 cards and PCs, like what Kingston offers with their SSDs. That era is over with me. I do a lot of copy work between partitions, in the 50 GB + range, as I briefly get at best about 12 MB per second for a minute or so and drips down to 7 MB/sec. I do not want to spend several days when I can copy...

It just works
Plugged into Windows, Linux, and Macbook. On the Macbook I went through a USB-C to USB-A hub, and got full speed. Tried on an older Lenovo laptop (USB2.0) and the port didn't provide enough power. The cable is sturdy without being too stiff, and is "just right" as to length (in my opinion). Cable-to-connector junctions are solid and reinforced with extra plastic (almost...

The Hard Drive Adapter has replaced the need for much larger equipment and is more portable and easier to use for single drive data transfer. The quality cable and connections will last for years to come. “I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.”

Quick and Simple
I have tested this SATA to USB cable using several different SATA disks including regular 2.5" spinning disks and 2.5" SSD disks. The cable comes in zip lock bag with a little instruction book. The cable is very strong feeling and has a good amount of flex. The cable is long enough that I can connect it to a USB port on the bottom of my normal size PC tower and have the...
