We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The MDVIHDMIMF is a mini DVI to HDMI adapter. Mini DVI is was present on older iMacs, 2008 and earlier. Macs from 2009 and up would use a mini DisplayPort connection. If your iMac is 2009 or newer, the MDVIHDMIMF would not be the correct product to use. Part number MDP2HDMI would recommended instead, which is a mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Brandon, StarTech.com Support

HDMI adaptor
It was not as described. It did not comport to my MacBook Air like it’s supposed to. The connector was way too big. I returned it.
