Sorry I didn't buy one of these sooner
I bought this so that all the PCs on our home network (a mix of Win 7 and Win 10 machines) could share an older Dell laser. Before I installed it, I emailed Customer Support to clarify one point in the instructions. CS was helpful, as were the detailed FAQ instructions on the support site. If you can learn how to check IP addresses, you can install this thing. Using it ...

Network dropping after 5 or 10 min
I bought this device few weeks ago and it works just 5 to 10 mins then we had to take off the power and then take in the power to get it work. This is not a normal behavior for a new device

Does not work
Does not work when in infrastructure mode. We have two of these and one works great while the other doesn't work at all. Exact same setup, SSID, and doesn't work.

Amazing tech support
Setting up of this print port for non IT gurus is not that easy - had to revert to the tech support twice. Took some time to figure out where my specific problems lay but the support guys were really helpful and all is well now.

Works on Xerox Phaser 6280!
After I was able to get it connected to my router (press WPS on your router then WPS on the print server) I had issues having my MacBook Pro recognize the device. I used chat support and Matthew was able to login and help troubleshoot the issue. I ended up connecting the printer to my USB hub to get to make sure the MacBook could recognize and print, then connected the ...

Great device but takes a product tech to install
I've had this for maybe a year and just called in to get help installing it on my new laptop. The device has allowed me to use a great electrostatic usb printer on my wireless network. It works flawlessly. It could be easier to install. Each time I need to install it on a new computer I have to call product support who promptly links to my PC and sets it up. Good servic...

Product is not ready.
Wi-Fi component is not ready. It can find an SSID in the next block but not 10 feet away (and it has two to choose from). Hopefully the unit has upgradeable firmware and will someday reach its full potential. Otherwise it is a just an Ethernet print server with higher price point than competing Ethernet print servers.

Works like a charm!
I'm really happy to to use this print server, it's easy to use and works pretty well with my old HP LaserJet 1018. The only one option it lacks is AirPrint compatibility. Do you guys plan to add AirPrint support for this print server? Thanks.

Works perfectly and backed by Fantastic Support
Yes it is slightly cumbersome to setup the print server. However once it is setup it works flawlessly. I have a USB printer and this was the only way I could connect it to my Chromebook for printing. Saved me from the hassle of getting another printer. Thanks StarTech. Also the support is very responsive and top notch.

Just what I needed
I bought this last week and played around for a couple of days trying to setup. Used Support Chat and Lukas had me going in short order. My router had assigned the default address to something else which was causing the connection problems. Once that was determined I was able to setup and print from from a second laptop in a matter of minutes.

WILL NOT WORK WITH SOME DYMO PRINTERS
Bought two of these, they arrived today, set the first one up with my Canon printer and it worked like a charm. Struggled to get the second one to work so reached out to tech support. A very helpful tech got the print server up and running but it shut down whenever we tried to print. He then informed me that the device will not work with my Dymo 4XL essentially because ...

very unreliable
I have it installed and working with my HP Laserjet, but it constantly needs to be reset. It won't stay connected more than 10-15 minutes. It's very irritating. I do not recommend this unit.

Not for my Mac/HP Laserjet 1012
Disc included has only Windows installation instructions.
No software or instructions included for Mac OS, although product specs include Mac OS 10.
This was just what I wanted and needed, but I cannot make it work on my Mac or with my HP Lserjet 1012 printer.
