Love this watch - Easy band swaps + better battery
I just upgraded to the Galaxy Watch 8 and I’m really happy with it. The first thing I noticed is how much easier it is to interchange the bands. It’s quick, simple, and actually makes me want to switch bands depending on what I’m doing.
The battery life is also noticeably better, which was a big reason I upgraded. I don’t feel like I’m constantly thinking about charg...

Key Workout Feature Missing
A fundamental use case for a multiple hundreds dollars smart watch is as a fitness/workout tracker. The problem with this watch is if you are working out and look away for a period of time (Max setting is 2 minutes!), it defaults back to the watch face. So, when I'm on a bike ride and want to check my heart rate, I have to swipe left twice, find the cycle app button...

Meets my expectations
I really like this watch and the biometric functions are almost overwhelming there are so many options. I wish for a longer battery life but otherwise, it seems to function as well as or better than I had hoped. The size and weight are about ideal for me. I chose the 40mm because I didn't want a watch that was too big.

Excellent build quality, customizability, and design. Compared to my Watch 5, battery life and performance are much better and I can comfortably go 3-4 days without charging it.

Impressive user interface
I am able to get/do all that I need from the responsiveness on the wrist, from health/fitness data to GPS and general functions. Impressive battery life, usually lasts me 2-3 days between charges, with moderate use. Amazing connectivity and capabilities for the latest Wearable, Watch8!

Got this to track my sleep. Does not track oxygen very well. Really like all the watch faces available. Metal on back oxidized and has to be cleaned daily. Have to charge every day even though all I do is track sleep.

Galaxy watch 8 - Dec 2025
While the watch 8 is an upgrade from my watch 4. It's still not better than my watch 2. The sleekness, quality, colour range, battery life and comfort of the watch 2 cannot be beat. Also, the watch 8 turns off wrist to wake ever so often and samsung has not fixed that even with multiple complains. Otherwise, it's works as expected.
