These pods are great for travel! We do laundry a lot when on vacation, and these are so easy to pack into a suitcase. Plus I love the Spring Meadow scent, and the scent is long lasting. They also do a great job of getting our clothes clean.

Love Tide, but new scent is nauseating
I usually use the Original Scent Tide, which i love. On a whim, I got the Spring Meadow scent and was immediately blown away by the stench of what I describe smells like rancid raw oysters with undertones of sweet chemical gag. It's not my machine, as the stench came directly from the container. I've never felt literal nausea from the scent of detergent, but...yikes.

Love Tide, but new scent is nauseating
I usually use the Original Scent Tide, which i love. On a whim, I got the Spring Meadow scent and was immediately blown away by the stench of what I describe smells like rancid raw oysters with undertones of sweet chemical gag. It's not my machine, as the stench came directly from the container. I've never felt literal nausea from the scent of detergent, but...yikes.

Smells of fish
I went on this website to see if other he try e same experience with the smell . I usually buy original liquid tide or powder and have never come across this and have always been satisfied. I see I am not the only one and would not re-purchase this particular product

DISGUSTING-ROTTEN FISH SMELL
DISGUSTING-ROTTEN FISH SMELL.
HAD TO REWASH EVERYTHING WITH ANOTHER BRAND.
ROTTEN, DISGUSTING FISH. ENTIRE LOADS STINK LIKE ROTTEN FISH. (NOT JUST FISH. ! ROTTEN FISH ! SUPER GROSS. HAVE TO REWASH EVERYTHING. Expensive, disgusting product.

We're sorry to hear this and can explain what you might be experiencing. Laundry detergent cannot cause bad smells. If a fresh load of laundry comes out smelling badly, it is coming from the washing machine. With an HE machine, keep the door open between uses to allow the washer to air out. For front loading washers require special low sudsing detergents, like Tide HE, using regular detergent will cause excessive suds, which carry the bacteria all over the washer and allow it to deposit and settle all around the wash drum. Above average water hardnesss may also contribute to mold or mildew odors. When a washing machine starts to smell, use Tide Washing Machine Cleaner to remove residue and eliminate any bacteria; monthly clean-outs with Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, helps keep odor-causing residues from causing odor problems down the road. Be sure to consult the owner's manual or the manufacturer's website for clean-out instructions. Worst fishy fragrance!!!
Omg the worst fishy smell from pods!! It is not the washer, water or the clothes... it is the detergent TIDE pods 3 in 1, sprong meadow!! 49 pods!!
I WILL NEVER purchase again. Back to ALL snd ARM N HAMMER.

Horrible Smell - not a "Spring Meadow"
I wish I could take this back to where I purchased it. I loathe this new "Spring Meadow" smell. This does not smell anything like it should. I have used Tide for years. But this....... HORRIBLE. Not fresh at all and almost makes me nauseous. It is too expensive to just buy something else. UGGGGG.

Tide Pods and Pickles!!!!
Almost went and bought a new washer as I couldn't get rid of that nasty odor. On a whim I tried Gain and low it's gone!! Now I googled this and find all these customers with the same issue. Not me Tide it's you!! A refund would be lovely!!!

I DO NOT like the altered Spring Meadows scent!
You took a good thing and ruined it! I used to love how my clothes smelled after washing them! Now they smell like they need to be washed again right after coming out of the washer. Please take a page from Coke and give us back our original formula. I won't be buying these again unless that happens. I will have to find an alternative that smells better.

The scent is awful
This is my first time trying the spring meadows scent and the second I opened the washer I knew I made a mistake. It puts off an awful fishy wet dog like smell. So disappointed as I got a huge box.

Tide spring meadow pods smell like pickles!
Never again, got tide pods spring meadows pods and everything come out smelling like vinegar and pickles!, cannot get the smell out no matter what you do, what a waste of money, I will NEVER buy Tide again

I have forever loved this scent. I used it on vacation and it has forever reminded me of taking that trip. I stopped using it for awhile but longed for that scent. This is strange since the last time we made a change to this detergent was back in early 2023 when we improved the scent-bloom. horrible smell
This isn't just an unpleasant smell, it reeks of chemicals. Almost a fishy smell. Absolutely awful. And after just one wash, the smell is everywhere in the house. You need to recall this - there is no way this is not a defective product. I'm hoping I can get the smell out of my clothes because there is no way I can wear something that smells like this.

Original scent or no tide products
Reading your reviews, you need to higher some different researchers, everyone wants that good smell fresh out the dryer, not your weird experiment with some chemicals and friction , spring meadows used to my favorite smell of all laundry detergent, now you broke the wheel and even those cheap eco sheets smell better than this, I'm not buying this or other tide products ...

Pod doesn’t dissolve in the wash
I’ve been using tide most of my life my mother and grandmother used tide, but the pods do not dissolve in warm water. It melts part way and then sticks to your cloths and you have to wash them again. I will go back to using a liquid detergent.

Don’t buy!
If I could give zero stars I would! Why change the formula when nothing was wrong. I was always told ‘If it’s not broken don’t fix it’. Will be throwing the entire container of the Spring Meadow pods away after only using one. The new formula smells horrible! So disappointed I have to find a new laundry soap. Please change the formula back.

Smells like fish oil!
My wife and I thought something was wrong with our washing machine. Our clothes kept having a fish like odor, like the fish oil we put on our dogs food. We thought there may have been a spill or contamination that got into the washing machine, so we tried a different load in our downstairs washing machine and the same odor! Smell is awful - chemical smell
They smell like chemicals. I cannot douse my clothes in enough fabric spray to make the scent of the pods go away. What a nightmare to possibly have ruined two full loads of clothing. Switching brands.

Fish!
I couldn’t figure out where the fish smell in my washer was coming from, untill I bought these pods again and opened the container and got a nose full of fish smell. I was hoping it was the plastic container, but I put on a shirt today that I hung dry after washing and it has that icky fish smell! Why!?

New scent is terrible
I have purchased these pods for years but I had to find another brand after the scent was changed. After seeing all of the reviews you know it is not user error. Please bring back the original scent. I don’t understand how losing all of these customers is really worth keeping the new gross scent
